For All Certifications:

To be recognized as a FORTIFIED Evaluator, FORTIFIED Professional, or FORTIFIED Roof™ contractor, you must have at least one employee who has successfully completed the appropriate FORTIFIED Wise™ Training Course and received a passing grade on the examination, and provide additional required documentation. Following completion of the training course, certification candidates will take an online assessment examination. Candidates must answer at least 85% of the questions correctly to pass. Three attempts are permitted within 30 days of exam registration.

If You Fail a Certification Exam

Candidates who fail the certification exam in all three attempts and want to continue with the certification process must re-take the FORTIFIED Wise™ course and examination. The candidate is required to pay all appropriate fees.

If after taking the class and the exam again, a candidate still does not pass, the candidate must wait 6 months before retaking the course and the exam. The candidate must again pay all appropriate fees.

FORTIFIED Evaluator Certification

FORTIFIED Evaluators provide third-party verification of FORTIFIED requirements for homes where property owners or contractors are seeking a FORTIFIED Designation. For more information, see the FORTIFIED Evaluator Handbook.

FORTIFIED Roof™ Contractor Certification

Fortified Wise Roofing Contractors are trained in all aspects of installing a FORTIFIED Roof. This course is intended for contractors who only install roofing and want to learn about the program or achieve certification. For more information, see the FORTIFIED Roof Contractor Handbook.

FORTIFIED Professional Certification

The Fortified Wise Professional course is intended for those who provide construction and/or design services for homeowners and other key stakeholders. This course covers FORTIFIED Roof, FORTIFIED Silver, and FORTIFIED Gold. For more information, see the FORTIFIED Professional Handbook.
